We have an exciting opportunity for Assistant Merchandisers to join the B&M Homewares team at our Support Centre in Speke. This is a full time, permanent position. 

We are looking for Assistant Merchandisers to join our fast paced Buying team. You will be involved in assisting the Senior Merchandiser with the day-to-day running of the department.

The Key Accountabilities in the role are:

  • Working to tight restrictions to ensure stock is maintained throughout the year at the correct levels, particularly through peak periods i.e. new product range launches, Christmas, promotion periods etc.
  • Assisting with the creation of UK and FOB stock orders and managing these orders into the business efficiently
  • Maintaining and updating of Linecards
  • Reviewing stock levels in branch and allocating based on agreed stock cover targets
  • Assisting the wider merchandising team with the updating of weekly reports
  • Being proficient in the use of Excel where the business uses heavily formulated worksheets to manipulate reports into the desired information required.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:

  • Experience as an Assistant/Trainee Merchandiser or in a role with strong excel/numerical skills
  • Results orientated with a track record of achieving targets
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, methodical with numbers
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office in particular Excel with real attention to detail
