As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will work closely with a Merchandiser, playing a key role in providing effective and efficient support to the department. To succeed, it is essential that you have excellent administration skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecasting sales and planning product intake.
- Ensuring excellent availability of all core SKUs.
- Preparing and maintaining weekly and ad-hoc reports.
- Generating and raising purchase orders.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with the buying team.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional data interpretation and analytical skills.
- A solid understanding of merchandising with strong commercial awareness.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and work efficiently at speed.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
