As our in-house data champion, you’ll collaborate closely with IT and business units across the organisation, creating innovative solutions that align with our strategic goals. This is a full time office based role, in our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading and overseeing data and analytics (D&A) initiatives to drive strategic decision making and operational excellence
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to implement technical analytics solutions that target organisational challenges
• Assisting in designing and enabling D&A strategies that align with company objectives and industry trends
• Establishing and maintaining data warehouses/lakes/lakehouses/hubs for storing, analysing and accessing large volumes of data
• Creating and upholding dashboards to cater to evolving reporting needs
• Establishing data science initiatives by utilising AI and ML technologies to predict trends and metrics, evaluate risks and continuously improve processes
• Overseeing reporting infrastructure, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of operational metrics and performance insights
• Ensuring that technical and process architectures (application and information) support core business functions

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data management, mathematics, statistics or related field
• At least five years of experience in business analytics, data science or a related field, specifically serving in a leadership or advisory role
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, with proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to map out projects and processes end-to-end
• Understanding of P&L drivers, with the ability to summarise large amounts of data to influence business decision-making
• Understanding of the overall architectures of cloud data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Azure Databricks, etc) and analytics platforms
• Ability to quickly assimilate subject matter expertise and apply business context to highlight quality analytics and insights
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
