We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Food Technologist to join our Quality Assurance team at our Support Centre. Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our food and pet food products meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

This role is fully office based in Speke, Liverpool (L24).

The Key Responsibilities for this role will be:

• Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and legal requirements for both food and pet food ranges, whilst maintaining product specification files on our internal systems.
• Review and approve food labels, ensuring they meet all legal requirements, including nutritional content, ingredient lists and allergens.
• Perform detailed nutritional analysis and ensure the accuracy of nutritional declarations across a wide range of food and pet food products.
• Stay up to date with the latest food regulations and industry standards, ensuring our products are fully compliant.
• Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure product quality, packaging, and labelling meet the required standards.
• Address any compliance, quality, or testing issues and recommend improvements for processes and product formulations.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) in Food Technology, within food and/or pet food.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety, HACCP, BRC, food labelling, and nutritional analysis.
• Experience with regulatory compliance for both food and pet food products.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
